Speed
Let’s get right down to it. Speed is the big deciding factor when it comes to torrent clients. I can’t think of anything that would matter more so we will get it out of the way first.
uTorrent:
Torrent being used: Slackware

Max D/L: 213kB/s

Azurues:
Also causing conflicts with my router. Whenever I forward the ports, my router doesn’t work properly.
BitComet:
Unable to test. Every time I install BitComet my connection dies so I can’t test the software. It’s not only cutting the connection on my pc, but cutting it for all my computers connected to my router.

Azureus: 36,000K
BitComet: 13,000K

Well given my results… or lack thereof, I have no choice but to call uTorrent the winner. But based on my knowledge of Azureus, the java based client, it is too clunky for my liking. Also from the rumors I hear on the uTorrent board BitComet isn’t as fast or stable as uTorrents mighty and small system.
So given the sizes of the software and all the extra crap in Azureus and BitComets client, I would guess that uTorrent, the smallest, and most clean cut of the three, would be the faster.
